A parked BMW suddenly caught fire in Theydon Bois
Dramatic pictures have emerged of a parked BMW car after it suddenly burst into flames yesterday.
Firefighters from Loughton were called to the scene in Loughton Lane, Theydon Bois, at 8pm following reports of a blue BMW on fire next to the village green.
No-one associated with the vehicle could be found in the immediate area.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus fought the blaze.
The fire was under control by 8.45pm and there were no casualties.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire by Essex Fire Service.
Crews used one hose reel in a bid to extinguish the blaze.
