A person has died following a vehicle fire in Chingford last night (Thursday, January 26).
The incident took place in Lea Valley Road.
According to the London Fire Brigade (LFB), the vehicle caught alight after colliding with "street furniture and a tree".

The brigade was called at 10.02pm and the incident was over for firefighters by 11.15pm.
Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Enfield and Chingford fire stations attended.

A person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, LFB said.
