A man in his 40s has been found dead at a home in south east London.
The discovery was made in Helsinki Square, Rotherhithe at around 10.15am yesterday (October 1).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended however the man was pronounced dead shortly after.
His next of kin have been informed.
The death is being treated as unexpected as there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service said: “Police were contacted by London Ambulance Service at approximately 10:15hrs on Tuesday, 1 October to reports of a man, believed aged in his 40s, who had been found deceased at an address in Helsinki Square, SE16.
“His next of kin have been informed.
“The death is being treated as unexpected/unexplained but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances at this time.”
