A body has been found during a search for a missing man from Gravesend.
The discovery was made at a site in New Road, Gravesend shortly before 5pm yesterday (October 17).
The man was confirmed dead at the scene.
While formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of a 20-year-old man from Gravesend, who was reported missing on October 15, have been informed.
The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Shortly before 5pm on Thursday 17 October 2024, officers found the body of a man at a site in the New Road area of Gravesend. The man was confirmed deceased at the scene.
“Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family of a 20-year-old man from Gravesend, who was reported missing on Tuesday 15 October, have been informed.
“The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
