ONE of the most senior judges in the country has been arrested in connection with a 'flashing' incident on a train.
Lord Justice Richards, 56, of Wimbledon in southwest London, is alleged to have indecently exposed himself to a female passenger.
The Court of Appeal judge will not sit in court until police complete their investigation.
The married father of three, who also serves as a chairman on the board of governors at King's College School, Wimbledon, was arrested by British Transport Police last Friday.
Released on bail, he told News of the World: "I spoke to police and gave them my full co-operation about an incident last October which I deny.
"I have not been charged and have been bailed in the usual manner."
The lord justice became a High Court Judge in 1997 and was knighted in the same year.
He has tried a number of high-profile cases, including an attempt by the family of Jean Charles de Menezes to take their argument for prosecution to the High Court, following the shooting of the innocent Brazilian by police in 2005.
Lord Justice Richards is due to reappear at Ebury Bridge police station on March 2.
