A bit of monkey magic took place at Chessington world of Adventures after the successful birth of a baby spider monkey.
The birth followed that of Sunti the baby Binturong in January, showing the zoo's dedication to conservation of animals.
The two-week old baby was called Chiquita, meaning "little" in Spanish, and has been closely guarded by her mother.
Maria Beddoc, primate keeper, said: "Chiquita follows Sunti, our new Binturong, as another addition to the zoo in 2008, in what we hope to be a very successful breeding year for a number of our animals.
"We continually strive to provide the animals with the best possible care to create a happy environment for them to live, which is shown in their breeding habits.
"Chiquita is your typical cheeky little monkey, but is currently happy to stick very close to mum."
Spider Monkeys, considered amongst the most intelligent 'new world' monkeys, have disproportionately long and spindly limbs - inspiring the name.
