Anti-terrorism police have arrested four men in north London early this morning.
The raids were part of an ongoing MI5 investigation into a rebel group opposed to the government in Iran.
"There are no evidence that they were planning an attack in the UK," a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
Officers raided two addresses in Barnet and one in Finchley, and are still searching the properties.
Two men were arrested in a vehicle in High Road, Barnet.
The suspects, aged 31, 37, 58 and 63, are being held at a central London police station under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
