The family of the Brazilian shot dead by police who mistook him for a suicide bomber on the Tube are on their way to London.
Relations of Jean Charles de Menezes, 27, are due to travel from their hometown of Gonzaga, Brazil, to be updated on the inquiry into his death.
The electrician was shot seven times in the head at Stockwell Tube station on July 22 - the day after the failed London bombings.
Mr De Menezes mother, Maria, father, Matozinhos, and five other family members may meet Met police chief Sir Ian Blair during their trip.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said the Met paid for the flights, accommodation and other expenses of the visit.
The family rejected an earlier compensation offer of £15,000 by Scotland Yard.
Meanwhile a 43-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a leaked report about the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) investigation into the shooting.
The document, obtained by ITV News, cast doubt on claims that Mr de Menezes ran from police and prompted accusations of a police cover-up.
The woman was detained last Wednesday during police raids at several London addresses. She has since been released on police bail.
