A fluorescent green poodle is bringing traffic to a halt as drivers stop to glare at the pampered pooch.
French poodle Charlton's unusual colour is all thanks to his owner Heidi Anderton, 33, who loves bright colours.
The two-and-a-half-year-old dog was purple when he last appeared in News Shopper more than a year ago and is now the centre of attention all over again at the Absolutely Animals grooming parlour, in Burnt Ash Hill, Lee.
Mrs Anderton, who runs the shop, says she plans to dye Charlton in the colours of the St George flag for the next football World Cup.
She said: "Dogs only see black and white. He doesn't know what colour he is but he knows he is special because he gets so much attention, particularly when the traffic slows down."
