Team members of a Streatham based hair salon took on the freezing cold and rain for a funny cake sale to raise money for red nose day on March 15, 2013.

Despite the bad weather, the team managed to raise a whopping £146 from local Streatham passersby, offering a large variety of home-baked cakes.

Mira Leblanc of Le Petit Salon & Spa said: “We’ve just moved to Streatham and we absolutely love this area.

"It’s important for us to give back to the community and we thought what better way to brighten up the day with some nice cake while doing something good.”

“The weather didn’t work in our favour but we are absolutely delighted that we’ve managed to raise some money, it’s not much but it will make a big difference to some people.”

The cake sale took place in front of the Salon on Friday afternoon.

Le Petit Salon & Spa is still under construction but will open its doors this June.
