January 22, 2001 10:58: WATFORD will be looking for compensation as Dominic Foley recovers from a stress fracture sustained while training with the Ireland squad.
Watford boss Graham Taylor said: "He came back complaining about his calf and we thought it might be a nerve injury. Later, X-rays revealed a stress fracture. The Republic are aware of the situation and it is an administrative thing."
Nick Wright is still having problems with his knee.
Taylor added: "People understand it has been a long time for Nick. Towards the end of last season, he had this problem and we said at the time it could be troublesome for him. I have a lot of sympathy for him because he has had a lot of problems. He has had the knee cleaned out but has had a slight reaction to certain rehab work.
"You are not out of the game as long as Nick has been unless there is a problem. It has not resolved itself totally. When he gets back on the training pitch it is always good to see him because his attitude is first class. It must get you down mentally, getting fit then breaking down."
