A woman caught on video eating cereal behind the wheel of her Land Rover has been spoken to by police.
She was challenged by cyclist David Williams who filmed the incident.
Mr Williams, 47, passed the film to Surrey Police who said that a 51-year-old woman from East Molesey voluntarily attended Staines police station and was interviewed by officers from the roads policing unit.
A police spokesman said: "The woman was issued with a driver referral notice for the offence of driving whilst not in proper control of motor vehicle.
"This notice will be submitted to the force's traffic and process unit who will review the case and make a decision regarding any further action - which could include sending the individual on a driver improvement course or a fixed penalty notice."
Mr Williams, who was travelling in the opposite direction, said he spotted the woman as traffic moved towards the junction and he stopped to remonstrate with the driver.
Mr Williams put his footage on YouTube.
He said: “You can see that her car is moving from a long way back and just as I pull alongside her she’s put some food in her mouth.
“She just carries on driving.
“We’ve all eaten Mars bars or something, or had a drink of coke, but nothing like this.
“I mean, who takes a bowl of cereal into the car?
“I regularly see dangerous driving but I’ve never seen anything like that.”
