(Virgin) **
AFTER making two records in their spiritual home - Los Angeles - The Thrills reconvened in down-town Vancouver for their third album.
Not that it seems to have made a great difference to their sunshiney, west coast sound as Teenager reveals itself to carry more of the chirpy, perky, amiably blissful pop songs that marked So Much For the City and Let's Bottle Bohemia.
All a bit ho-hum then, but it would be a tad uncharitable to suggest lead single Nothing Changes Around Here is the final word on the new album. Singer Conor Deasy has found more depth in his sometimes breathless voice.
Lyrically the songs deal with growing up, falling in and out of love, loss and loneliness, but narrowly avoid the drift into maudlin.
