Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces the launch of two brand new action-adventure videogames to keep kids captivated during the holiday season; LOONEY TUNES: ACME ARSENAL for the Wii system, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation2 consoles and LOONEY TUNES: DUCK AMUCK for the Nintendo DS.
Whether playing alone, with friends or with Mum and Dad, LOONEY TUNES: ACME ARSENAL and LOONEY TUNES: DUCK AMUCK offer kids of all ages hours of outlandish Looney Tunes fun and challenging game play, with the entire range of infamous Looney Tunes characters presented in a variety of awesome and immersive worlds.
The award winning Looney Tunes license has brought action-packed family fun to homes across the globe, with animated cartoons, comic books and film shorts featuring such loveable and unforgettable characters as the irritable and hot-tempered Daffy Duck and the hilariously nonchalant and mischievous Bugs Bunny.
Now kids get the chance to immerse themselves directly in the Looney Tunes world and interact with the characters; taking the fun and Looney Tunes action to an entirely new level.
In LOONEY TUNES: ACME ARSENAL players can assume the identity of any of the seven classically mischievous Looney Tunes characters in a next-generation action adventure game. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, The Tazmanian Devil, Foghorn Leghorn, Marvin the Martian, Gossamer and a special secret character are each updated in engaging ways that will appeal to new generations of children as well as the loyal fans of these enormously popular cartoons.
Kids will be able to put mum and dad through their paces engaging in one or two player cooperative game play modes. Players will find themselves immersed in fast-paced combat, puzzle solving challenges and vehicle-based action in 7 rich environments inspired by the popular, outlandish cartoon tales.
Commanding an arsenal of ACME melee and projectile weapons in outrageous battles, players will travel to a variety of exciting locations such as Camelot, Ancient Egypt, Mars, the Wild West and more in a bid to overcome the Evil scientist in this quest to erase the Looney Tunes characters from existence.
"The game captures the great irreverence of the Looney Tunes' humour and allows players to take the characters where they have never gone before with next-generation game play and graphics," said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Development and Production, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "It is a great holiday gift for the entire family, since the game offers a collaborative co-operative game play experience."
The all-new LOONEY TUNES: DUCK AMUCK features Daffy Duck in a temperature-raising stylus-based videogame exclusively for the Nintendo DS system. The game lets players wield the Nintendo DS stylus to irritate, aggravate and infuriate Daffy Duck in humorous ways. In the game inspired by the classic Duck Amuck cartoon, in which an unseen animator torments Daffy by changing his physical appearance, shape, clothing and environment, players will compete against Daffy through a series of 20 innovative mini-games with the goal of driving his temper through the roof and sending Daffy into an uncontrollable frenzy!
On successful completion of the mini games, players can unlock hidden content as a reward. LOONEY TUNES: DUCK AMUCK also features wireless game play allowing players to not only gang up on Daffy as a team but also to battle each other head-to-head.
