Police have made an arrest after a man who was hit by a mini cooper in Brentwood earlier this month died.
A 35-year-old man, from Chelmsford, was crossing the street in Ongar Road when he was in collision with a blue Mini Cooper shortly after 10.45pm on Saturday, July 3.
He died in hospital on Tuesday, July 13.
A 27-year-old man from Brentwood was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
He was released under investigation while police continue enquiries.
