The M25 has been closed both ways following a crash which caused structural damage to a bridge.
Motorists have been warned of lengthy delays following the incident, which took place at around 1.30pm.
The closure is in place from Junction 2 A2 (Darenth Interchange) to Junction 1A (Dartford Tunnel / QE2 Bridge).

The crash reportedly involved two cars and a van.
A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “Our firefighters are working hard with other emergency services in scorching heat to deal with an incident involving damage to a bridge.
“We know it's hot in your cars, but please stay patient while we make things safe. Thank you!"
