Around 60 firefighters are tackling a fire that broke out at a pub in Battersea Rise earlier today (Wednesday, August 4).
Footage posted to social media showed flames leaping from the roof of building where the fire struck, while in later shots fire crews could be seen dousing the fire.
In an update detailing their efforts at the scene, London Fire Brigade (LFB) said around 12.53pm they had received over a dozen calls to the fire at that "half the roof is currently alight".

An LFB spokesperson said:
"Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters have been called to a pub fire on Battersea Rise in Battersea.
"Half of the roof is currently alight.
"The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers have taken 18 calls to the blaze.
"The Brigade was called at 1253. Fire crews from Clapham, Wandsworth, Tooting, Brixton and Fulham fire stations are at the scene.
"The cause of the fire is not known at this time."
