The London Fire Brigade says a loft conversion has been "completely destroyed" in a house fire.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters responded to an incident in Hertford Road just after 12.30pm today (August 16).
Eight 999 calls were made after locals spotted a mid-terraced house was on fire.
Fire crews rushed to the scene and closed Hertford Road near the junction with Cuckoo Hall Road, between Edmonton and Ponders End.
The fire brigade brought the fire under control by 2.49pm but said a loft conversion and staircase leading up to were completely destroyed by the flames.
Parts of the first floor were also damaged.
There were no reports of any injuries, the fire brigade added.
Crews from Edmonton, Enfield, Tottenham and Stoke Newington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
