A food festival is coming to Tooting this weekend that celebrates all things locally grown.
Foodival is returning on Saturday, 4th September to spotlight sustainable produce in Wandsworth.
Aside from growers and cooks, this year will focus on initiatives that emerged during lockdown such as recycling and upcycling, repairing, mending and re-creating.
The day will feature a slow fashion initiative, a photography workshop, and a tie-dye class.
There will also be a veg display by gardeners and allotment holders in the borough.
Chefs will get a chance to debut their skills with small plates made from locally grown for £1 each.
The winners of the 'Paradise Pathway' competition for best front garden and the best street will be announced.
In a drive to highlight the adverse effect plastic has on the planet and marine life, the organisers of Foodival 2021 will designate the area a plastic-free zone.
Transition Town Tooting’s annual event has been running since 2008 and aims to show how it is possible to live sustainably and have fun while doing it.
The festival will run from 12-5pm at Hereward Road, SW17 7EY.
