Tributes have been paid to the "loving" two-year-old boy from Dartford after both he and his father died in a horror crash.
Andy Hoyle, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene of a collision on the A267 near Frant on August 18, and his son Joshua tragically passed away last week from injuries sustained in the crash.
The two-year-old mother Trudie Hoyle has now paid an emotional tribute to them both after losing her family and "the centre of her world" to the crash.
In a statement released by Sussex Police, she said: "Joshua was our loving and energetic boy and the centre of both mine and Andy's world.
"To have lost both of them in this way is absolutely devastating."
Joshua Hoyle was critically injured when a car driven by his father Andy was involved in the collision on August 18.
Both from Dartford Andy died at the scene whilst Joshua was rushed to hospital in critical condition. He sadly died from his injuries on Friday, August 27.
Trudie continued: "As a family we will never stop loving and missing them, and would ask to be allowed to grieve privately while we come to terms with this tragedy."
Police investigating the collision, which occurred shortly after 11am, continue to appeal for any witnesses to come forward.
A 76-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and for failing to stop after a road accident. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Detectives continue to investigate, and would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have captured any dash cam footage from the area around that time.
Anyone with information is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting Operation Utility.
