A new department store that will replace Debenhams in Harrow town centre has been revealed.
Debenhams closed its doors in Harrow on May 12, after the chain collapsed at the end of last year after Boohoo agreed to only buy its website and brand in a £55 million rescue deal.
The six-storey building has since been unused and on the market, leaving a gap in the heart of Harrow.
However, it has now been revealed that a new department store, called The Landmark, will be opening in Harrow.
The store will trade over just two floors, with the ground floor consisting of beauty, women’s accessories and menswear.
On the first floor, there will be womenswear, lingerie, childrenswear and home.

Adolfo de Advarado, the managing director of the project, said: “We are proud to be part of a new chapter in the life of the building and to continue to be a cornerstone in the towns retail offer.
“We really want that community to be a part of the store and with that in mind we have a number of retail career positions available for the store opening.”
A recruitment process has now begun, and anyone wishing to apply should send in their email to thelandmarkharrow@gmail.com
