The Amber Trust has announced the date of its annual concert.
This year it will take place at St Paul's School, Barnes on September 26.
As Amber Trust's first event post-lockdown, it will celebrate the talent of some of the charity's visually impaired beneficiaries.
Interim CEO Angela Voyajolu has described the return of The Amber Trust’s annual concert as a "wonderful" chance to hear some "extraordinary musicians" perform live once more.
Voyajolu, herself an experienced musician, is overseeing the first annual concert since her appointment in July and is delighted to see everyone have the opportunity to perform in person again.
She said: "The annual concert is one of our most important events of the year and a time for our beneficiaries to share their talents and love of music with others.
"We are so much looking forward to having everyone together again after holding our concert online last year.
"It's a wonderful chance for others to see what Amber is about, to raise our profile and to hear live music performed by extraordinary musicians."
The event at The Wathen Hall will be hosted by Amber patron Derek Paravicini.
It follows last year's 25th anniversary concernt which was forced to take place online.
Highlights on the bill include performances from Hampton’s Eleanor Stollery, who twice starred as Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic; Young Voice UK 2020 contestant Lydia Beech from Worcester; and, Somerset’s Rotary Young Citizen Award 2021 winning violinist Poppy McGhee.
Special ensemble arrangements - including a Queen medley - by Joanne Wicks and Abigail Dance through Amber’s partnership with the Global Leadership Programme, will unite the line-up at points throughout the two-hour performance.
Tickets for the show, which starts at 3:30pm, cost £20 (concessions £10), with all proceeds going to Amber Trust.
