A man has been assaulted and robbed by two men reportedly armed with a machete in the centre of Wandsworth.
Armed officers rushed to the scene at Wandsworth High Street at 5:09pm on Monday, October 11 after police were called to reports of an knife-point robbery.
Royal Parks Police said a man was allegedly assaulted by two males on the high street, and then had his bicycle stolen.
One of the suspects was reported to be in possession of a machete, prompting the armed police response
An area search was conducted, however the suspects could not be traced.
The victim was taken to hospital as a precaution but was not seriously injured.
Any witnesses are urged to call police on 101 and quote ref CAD 5688/11Oct.
