A new Pets as Therapy dog has delighted hospital staff in Harrow after he was deemed "too socialble" for the drug squad.
Lovable pooch Dexter only made it halfway through his anti-drugs training course due to his concentration levels and being too nice.
But his friendly nature has landed him a new role as the Met Police's wellbeing dog.
The three-year-old Labrador recently brought a smile to staff and patients at Northwick Park Hospital when he popped by with handler PC MIke Sheather.
He said: “We were paired up a year ago and I saw the potential of the Met having a dedicated wellbeing dog after Dexter spent much of the pandemic helping raise staff morale.
“My chief inspector asked me to write a business case and the rest is history.”
Dexter has now become an internet sensation after racking up more than 90,000 views online.
The video, which can be seen here, shows him spreading the love through the hospital and helping cheer up staff.
