Redbridge and Waltham Forest have been rated in the top 10 best place to live in London for single parent families, according to a new study.
London has the highest number of single-parent families in the UK — 19.1 per cent of families were lone parent according to 2019 data.
The research conducted by divorce lawyers, Rayden Solicitors, set out to identify where the best places to live in the city for single parents.
The boroughs ranked highly for key metrics including affordable cost of childcare, amount of outdoor space per properties, and favourable rent to income ratio.
These factors helped Redbridge to score 91 points out of 100 coming in London’s top three and Waltham Forest to score 81 in 10th place.

Which boroughs scored the lowest in London?
Haringey was revealed to have the lowest score in London for single parent families.
In terms of job density, the most recent findings from the study found there to be 0.48 jobs in the borough, in relation to people.
Despite this, the rent to income ratio is significantly high.
Research discovered that on average 77 per cent of monthly earnings are going towards rent.
The neighbouring borough of Camden ranks the second lowest in the index with almost two fifths of properties not having access to private outdoor space.
Hackney also comes in joint second lowest scoring for single-parent families to live.
