Train station has finally developed and changed into a more professional and modern building. With all the interior and exterior completely changing has blown a lot of minds in the local area. 

 

Southall station has been refurbished into a wider and more exquisite area, becoming the attention of many local people around the local area after taking a few years to be changed into a more modern and digital station. It's more developed  with additional services such as more lifts for accessibility and step-free access to all four platforms at the new station. 

 

Passengers travelling from one place to another will be able to experience a latest modern ticket hall built with materials such as glass and steel, which also includes a larger accessibility for self service as well as manned ticket kiosks and contactless payments.

There is also staff available around the station for additional support and help passengers that need more support boarding the train.The staff provides passengers with a welcoming experience and helps gracefully to all. With technology also being developed in the station, there are new screens and ticket machines installed.The place has been made larger in size to avoid congestion and promote social distancing within the station.

Due to the location that the station was in, where most of the local area is filled with the Punjabi community, signs were put up in the station in Punjabi as done previously with the old station. This is one of the UK's stations which are bilingual.

Moreover, there has been more development for passengers to be more satisfied and comfortable with the station. For example, disabled can board the train with more ease and confidence. Due to the inaccessible infrasture in the previous station, it locked out many passengers boarding the train, and after development more passengers are able to board and Southall station can now be known as an accessible transport system.
