November saw criminals jailed for a range of offences in south east London, from manslaughter to indecent exposure.
A burglary gang made national news after a court heard how they stole £26 million worth of cash jewellery and gems from celebrity homes after setting up base in an Orpington hotel.
We have summarised some cases below.
Ricky Woodford, 42, killed his partner in Eltham with a breeze block, 10 days after being released from hospital.
He denied murdering Sarah Smith, 39, but admitted her manslaughter by diminished responsibility.
In early November, he was sentenced at the Old Bailey to life in prison with a minimum term of 10 years and 340 days.
The court heard how Ms Smith suffered severe head injuries when she was attacked by Woodford with a breeze block and sharp implement at a flat on October 30 last year.
The “caring and bubbly” woman had cried out for help and tried to ward off Woodford during a “sustained and prolonged” attack.
Jugoslav Jovanovic, Alessandro Maltese and Alessandro Donati
Three members of a gang that stole £26 million worth of cash, jewellery and gems from celebrity homes after setting up base in an Orpington hotel were also jailed last month.
Italian nationals Jugoslav Jovanovic, 24, Alessandro Maltese, 45, and Alessandro Donati, 44, were behind three raids in west London over just 13 days in December 2019.
Victims included former Chelsea FC midfielder and manager Frank Lampard, 43, and his 42-year-old television presenter wife Christine, the late Leicester City FC owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, and socialite Tamara Ecclestone.
Police said the gang are believed to have carried out similar crimes against high-profile victims across Europe and had planned to commit further raids on the rich and famous in the UK.
Azhar Mia, Raymond McGill, Gift Osondu
Mia, McGill and Osondu were jailed after a 15-year-old was fatally stabbed in a North Woolwich shop last year.
Kayjon Lubin was found suffering injuries at around 6.50pm on December 11, 2020, on Woodman Street.
Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers found that Kayjon and his friend Azhar Miah had been involved in an altercation with Raymond McGill and Gift Osondu in which they were all armed with knives.
McGill was sentenced to two years' imprisonment, Osondu a total of two years and Miah a total of 17 months' imprisonment.
Joshua Plunkett, 25, of Reginald Road in Lewisham, targeted multiple teenage girls who he sexually and physically assaulted.
After befriending his five victims online, he exercised coercive control, subjecting them to various forms of abuse.
He was sentenced at Croydon Crown Court on November 18 to 14-and-a-half years in prison.
He will serve at least eight-and-a-half years of the sentence in prison, with the remainder to be served on licence.
Ryan Giles, 36, repeatedly spied into the homes of Greenhithe women, indecently exposing himself.
He was sentenced to nearly two years imprisonment on November 18, having been found guilty of targeting three women over a period of four months earlier this year.
He regularly visited his first victim's home address without invitation between February and May.
Whenever he saw her, he would stare and make unwelcome personal comments, causing distress.
In May, Giles turned his attention to another woman, starting to linger on a grassed area with a view into windows of her home.
A short while later, another neighbour saw Giles committing an indecent act in the same location.
