More than 100 students have received awards in recognition for their contributions to their community.
The 129 winners from Redbridge were given Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards and £250 for them to spend to benefit their school or youth group.
Winners included Abhiramy Kugarahaj, 19, who attends Woodford County High School.
Abhriramy was awarded for running a Classics Club for younger students to introduce them to mythology. She also mentored a younger student while doing her own GCSEs and helped out at school open evenings.
Dua Bashir,16, from Beal High School was recognised for showing great improvement in her attitude towards school and dealing with difficult situations, becoming a role model for other students.
Jessica Constantin, 16, took part in the Shine Night Walk this year following her mother's cancer diagnosis in December 2019.
The 10km walk by Trinity Catholic High School pupil Jessica raised £1,400 for Cancer Research UK.
Sir Jack Petchey founded the Jack Petchey Foundation in 1999 to recognise the positive contributions young people make to society and to support them in achieving their potential.
Since then the foundation has supported more than 2,000 initiatives for young people across London and Essex and has invested over £143m.
Sir Jack, 95, said: "I am passionate about our awards scheme which enables young people to be recognised, valued and rewarded for their achievements and positive contributions to society."
