Churchfield Road is one of the most up-and-coming locations in West London. What's the best way to spend a day there?
Arrive by train- Arrive by London Overground train at the Acton Central Station. Despite being in London and surrounded by several large developments, the station maintains it's rural feel, with a stone station building with wood roofs and vegetation surrounding it.
Coffee from Buono- A wonderful little cafe, the Italian owners ground their own coffee beans, which you can buy yourself to take home.
Breakfast at Fields- Fields is a fantastic little cafe located part way up the street. After a nice coffee at Buono, their vegetarian brunch options and smoothies are a delicious, refreshing and nutritious way to continue the day
Spend the morning on an art tour of the street- Acton has a huge new campaign to decorate the streets. First of all, take a look at the huge Fin Dac mural above the charming Fed&Watered restaurant. Then, head into the JG Contemporary Art galery and Shop across the street, and take in all of the art there
Have lunch at Churchfield Food Store- A relatively new addition to the street, Churchfield Food Store is a fantastic italian deli. Pick up one of their brilliant paninis, and a coffee. At the end, pick up some pasta and tomato sauce from the back section, the deli.
Buy gifts for your friends and family at the Village Trading Store
Spend the Afternoon playing mini golf- Head to Acton Park to play mini golf at Putt in the Park. One of the only outside mini golfs in West London, it's definetely one of the best places to spend part of a sunny day. Afterwards, maybe have a pizza at the pizzeria, or, go get a pizza at
Station House- this pub has been converted from the traditional station building to what it is now. The best things you can order are the burgers or the pizzas, both of which are delicious
Have dinner at EZO Japanese- Ezo is a relatively new, little Japanese restaurant. Some. of their most unique offerings includes Zangi, the Japanese Fried Chicken, but apart from that, they do rather simple and regular Japanese food, extremely well.
Its a wonderful way to spend the day in West London, but in truth, just explore the area yourself. There is something for everyone around every corner and in every building!
