Throughout the years, trends have come and gone. Let's take fashion trends, they are constantly changing, with new ones coming and old ones going. Many people feel that they need to keep up with these trends in order to fit in but that’s not the case. It’s understandable that many young people feel that if they do not keep up with these trends, they will be the odd one out or feel out of place. Last year, zebra print trousers were a big trend, they weren’t appealing to me, although because they were in trend, I felt that I should buy them. Luckily I didn't because a few months later, aka now, they aren’t even spoken about anymore. Trends have a huge influence on society, especially fashion. Although for many, it can be really hard to keep up with these trends financially as clothes are extremely expensive. So to those who feel as though they’re not too sure whether they really like something that’s trending at the moment, ask yourself, if this wasn’t in trend, would I look at it twice? Remember trends come and go so not getting those Ed Hardy jeans that everyone’s been raving on about, is not the end of the world, I promise. And if it actually is appealing to you but the initial cost is quite pricey, there are many sites such as Depop, Ebay and Vinted where people can sell their second hand clothes, shoes etc that are in excellent condition. They are a great way to purchase your favourite brands for less and if you no longer want them, you too can happily sell them to the next person who shares your same interest in fashion.
