More than £4,000 in fines has been issued this month in court for people who broke Tier 4 coronavirus restrictions in Greenwich.
We’ve rounded up all the cases and people who have been fined for the offence – and the fines collectively total £4,088.
The individual fines handed out at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 5 are £584 each.
The offence is described by the courts as “participating in a gathering of two or more people in a private dwelling or indoors in a Tier 4 area” – without reasonable excuse.
The cases are as follows:
Billy Robinson
This 32-year-old was found guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people in a private dwelling in Cyprus Field Street in Greenwich on January 9, 2021.
London was under Tier 4 restrictions at the time, which saw people only allowed to leave home for essential purposes, such as to buy food and medical supplies, or for daily exercise.
Robinson, of Southend Road in Essex, was fined £584 in total for the offence during a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 5, 2022.
This includes a £440 fine, £44 to fund victim services and costs of £100.
This must be paid by February 2, 2022.
Kieren Dowing
This 26-year-old was found guilty of participating in a gathering of more than two people in a public outdoor place in Greenwich, SE10 on January 13, 2021.
London was under Tier 4 restrictions at the time, which saw people only allowed to leave home for essential purposes, such as to buy food and medical supplies, or for daily exercise.
Dowing, of Virginia Road in Thornton Heath, was fined £584 in total for the offence during a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 5, 2022.
This includes a £440 fine, £44 to fund victim services and costs of £100.
This must be paid by February 2, 2022.
Dwain Morrison
This 33-year-old was found guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people in a private dwelling in Cyprus Field Street in Greenwich on January 9, 2021.
London was under Tier 4 restrictions at the time, which saw people only allowed to leave home for essential purposes, such as to buy food and medical supplies, or for daily exercise.
Morrison, of Blaney Crescent in London, was fined £584 in total for the offence during a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 5, 2022.
This includes a £440 fine, £44 to fund victim services and costs of £100.
This must be paid by February 2, 2022.
Charlie Moore
This 27-year-old was found guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people in a private dwelling in Cyprus Field Street in Greenwich on January 9, 2021.
London was under Tier 4 restrictions at the time, which saw people only allowed to leave home for essential purposes, such as to buy food and medical supplies, or for daily exercise.
Moore, of Central Park Avenue in Dagenham, was fined £584 in total for the offence during a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 5, 2022.
This includes a £440 fine, £44 to fund victim services and costs of £100.
This must be paid by February 2, 2022.
Claire Smith
This 32-year-old was found guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people in a private dwelling in Cyprus Field Street in Greenwich on January 9, 2021.

Sarah Johnson
This 32-year-old was found guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people in a private dwelling in Cyprus Field Street in Greenwich on January 9, 2021.

Mohammed El-Baste
This 26-year-old was found guilty of participating in a gathering of two or more people in a private dwelling in Cyprus Field Street in Greenwich on January 9, 2021.
