A disqualified, uninsured driver from Darftord was caught behind the wheel under the influence of cannabis.
Michael Sutton, aged 28, of Weardale Avenue, was sentenced on December 21 2021 at West Kent Magistrates’ Court, Sevenoaks.
He pleaded guilty to driving above the legal drug-drive limit and driving without insurance and while disqualified, in Dartford, on June 17 2021.
When stopped he gave a reading of 6.6 microgrammes of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis) in one litre of blood. The legal limit is 2 microgrammes.
He was disqualified from driving for a total of 3 years. He was also ordered to carry out 90 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months and pay £95 surcharge and costs of £85.
