Motorists using a major route in north-west London are set to face overnight disruption to their journeys due to roadworks next week.
A public notice from Transport for London details plans for the overnight closure affecting the A406 North Circular Road at the Cooks Ferry Roundabout.
The order will prohibit drivers from using the eastbound carriageway of the North Circular Road between its junction with the on and off-slip roads connecting it to Cooks Ferry Roundabout.
The order will take effect at “certain times” between Monday and Thursday, February 10 each night from 10pm to 5am or when the works have been completed.
The closures are needed for safety camera cabling works to take place on the North Circular Road and will only apply at such times indicated on road signs at the location.
When the restrictions are in place, traffic will be diverted via North Circular eastbound carriageway off-slip road, Cooks Ferry Roundabout, Walthamstow Avenue, North Circular eastbound carriageway on-slip road and North Circular Road to normal route of travel.
Meanwhile, another Transport for London notice has confirmed that a new speed limit is to be introduced on another major road from Thursday.
The limit on the A10 Great Cambridge Road between White Hart Lane and a point south of the A406 Great Cambridge Junction and all side roads is currently 40mph.
This will be reduced to 30mph with effect from Thursday.
