Storm Dudley and Eunice have hit the UK - and the Met Office has said they could bring a danger to life.

There is an Amber weather warning for wind in place across London on Friday, and rail companies are already issuing warnings not to travel.

It's started off as a fairly sunny Thursday in London, with some winds, and it's forecast to be fairly pleasant for the rest of the day.

However, the bleak weather begins in the early hours of Friday morning, with dark cloud, heavy rain and strong winds.

Today:

Windy at first, but mainly dry with sunny spells. Becoming cloudy for a while as scattered showers move east across the region, but later becoming dry with cloud breaks developing. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Dry with clear spells at first, but quickly becoming cloudy with outbreaks of rain spreading northeastwards overnight. Some of the rain may be heavy at times. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Friday:

Heavy rain soon clearing, and showers or longer spells of rain following. while winds quickly increase, becoming very strong and potentially disruptive due to Storm Eunice. Dry and clearer later. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Remaining unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain and often windy conditions, although Monday is likely to be largely dry. Temperatures near normal then becoming mild.
