Recently I was able to have the delight to interview Subhaan V about a popular gaming platform that many know called Roblox. Below are the answers to a series of questions about Roblox.

 

Why do you play Roblox?

 

I play Roblox because it’s a place where I can do pretty much anything and I love playing it because it’s fun, and I am able to play with my friends and other players around the world.

 

When did you start playing Roblox?

 

I started to play Roblox at the end of 2015 and more actively started playing it in 2016.

 

How much do you play it?

 

I play it nearly every day for a few hours, but when I have lots of homework or I have a test the next day I barely played since it gets a bit late by the time I have finished doing my school work and it’s not the best time to play because I have school the next day and my mum wouldn’t be too happy me playing quite late and since I was already staring at my screen for a while, therefore it would be unhealthy for my eyes. But to be honest I don’t always take a break from being on my laptop but that’s just sometimes

 

Do you think it’s beneficial to play?

 

Yes, I think it is since you can explore/express yourself through gaming which could assist you in real life and it also becomes a topic to have a good conversation about if you're making new friends who have an interest in playing Roblox. It also increases my creativity, and it teaches me new computing skills.

 

What have you learned from playing it?

 

I have learned computing skills and explored my creativity by playing Roblox and expressing myself by using avatars. I can strategically think since in certain games in Roblox you need to be critical about what you do and how you do it otherwise you would regret making certain choices, these strategies I have used in games I was also able to use in school and just generally.

 

How much do you rate Roblox?

 

I rate it 9 out of 10 since I think it can have some improvements.

 

 

Is there anything bad about the game?

 

Yes, there are e-daters and sometimes there are able to bypass inappropriate language which goes against Roblox guidelines there are also toxic gamers who can be annoying when people are playing for fun and as a form of entertainment. The game can also be a slight distraction to you in real life which you can avoid if you play sensibly.
