A haul of class A drugs and £15,000 in cash was allegedly found by Wandsworth Police following the stopping of a vehicle.
The Violence Suppression Unit carried out a local search after the situation “quickly spiralled” during patrol.
Uncut crack cocaine, a “huge” amount of heroin and £15,000 were said to have been discovered.
The incident has been described as “a stunning bit of work”.
A spokesperson for Wandsworth police said on Monday: “Our VSU Team were proactively patrolling when they stopped a vehicle.
“Quickly spiralling, a local search found a haul of class A drugs including over a kilo of uncut crack cocaine, a huge amount of heroin and £15,000.
“A stunning bit of work, led by instincts and proactivity.”
