A Mercedes driver from Orpington who was fined in court for driving without due care and attention has had his conviction 'set aside'.
Fidel Asiedu-Frimpong was found guilty of driving a Mercedes without due care and attention in Bromley Road on August 7, 2021.
The 28-year-old was accused of driving closely to the vehicle in front, giving late or no indication to other road users, and was also undertaking other vehicles.
Fidel, of Broadwater Gardens in Orpington, was ordered to pay £584 for the offence during a single justice procedure hearing at Bromley Magistrates' Court on March 8, 2022.
This included a £440 fine, £44 to fund victim services and costs of £100.
He was also given five points on his driving licence and told to pay the fine by April 5, 2022.
However at Bromley Magistrates' Court on November 22, 2022, Mr Asiedu-Frimpong's conviction was set aside, meaning that he will not have to pay the fine or court costs he was previously ordered to.
No evidence was offered by the prosecution and the case against the defendant was dismissed.
