Two people have been arrested as a man died after a stabbing.

Police were called to a home at Springfield Drive, Ilford, this morning (March 19) at 1.25am to reports of a stabbing.

The man, in his 30s, died at the scene despite efforts from emergency services.

According to the Metropolitan Police, enquiries are ongoing to identify and inform his next of kin and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody, but the Met have yet to release further information on them.
