The Blackheath Easter Bank Holiday Funfair is set to reopen today - with extra security measures in place.
The fair was forced to close early at around 6pm on Tuesday after a large disturbance in Greenwich Park and Blackheath Common.
Seven people were arrested and a number of assaults reported as police were given extra powers to stop and search anyone in the area.
The funfair had hoped to reopen on Wednesday, but Greenwich Council asked the organisers to keep it closed until today (Thursday) for safety reasons.
The Council said it was "appalled" by the disturbance which caused distress to people hoping to enjoy a fun day out with the family.
The "family" funfair will now reopen at 1pm this afternoon until 9.30pm tonight.
Extra security measures have been put in place, and organisers have asked those going to enjoy the fair to be patient in the queue as they do their best to get customers in as fast as they can.
Organisers also noted that "no gangs" will be permitted entry.
All teens must enter with an adult.
Police were called to antisocial behaviour reports and a number of assaults in Greenwich Park at around 4.20pm on Tuesday.
A cordon was put in place to help disperse large crowds and a number of police resources were sent to the scene.
A stabbing had also been reported but after a search of the area no victim was found.
Police have now confirmed they are content that no stabbing took place.
By around 6.15pm the area had been cleared.
A section 60 order was in place in the area until 7am on Wednesday - allowing police to stop and search anyone in the area.
