A man has been taken to hospital after reporting that liquid had been thrown at him in Crayford.
The man stopped a member of the public in Crayford High Street and said that a liquid had been thrown in his face.
Ambulance, fire crews and police attended the scene.
A man was found and assessed by ambulance crews before being taken to hospital as a precuation.
According to police, testing indicates the substance is not corrosive or noxious.
No arrests have been made.
A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called by LAS at 16:49hrs on Wednesday, 4 May to Crayford High Street after a man stopped a member of the public and informed him that a liquid had been thrown in his face.
"Officers attended with LFB.
"A man was located and assessed by LAS.
"He has been taken to hospital as a precaution.
"Testing indicates the substance is not corrosive or noxious.
"There have been no arrests."
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.56pm yesterday (4 May) to reports of a man injured at Crayford High Street, Dartford.
“We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer. Our medics treated one patient at the scene, and took him to hospital.”
