LEWISHAM Council will still be under the control of the Labour party after the local 2022 elections.

A total of 19 Lewisham wards have appointed 54 councillors.

Labour held onto all 54 seats, which was a similar outcome in the previous 2018 Lewisham elections.

The Labour Party gained 33 seats which is around 33 per cent of the votes.

The Labour and Co-operative Party followed with 21 seats resulting in 23 per cent of the votes.

Damien Egan has also been re-elected as Mayor of Lewisham for another term.

Here is a breakdown of the results across Lewisham:

Lewisham Central – elected: Edison Huynh (Lab), 876 votes and Aliya Sheikh (Lab), 791 votes.

New Cross Gate ward – elected: Aisha Malik-Smith (Lab), 1410 votes, and Liam Shrivastava (Lab), 890 votes.

Bellingham ward – elected: Rachel Onikosi (Lab), 1209 votes, and Jacq Paschoud (Lab-Co-op), 925 votes.

Evelyn ward – elected: Will Cooper (Lab), 1524 votes; Rudi Schmidt (Lab), 1233 votes; and Hau-Yu Tam (Lab), 1224 votes.

Forest Hill ward – elected: Sophie Davis (Lab-Co-op), 2395 votes; Peter Bernards (Lab-Cop), 2044 votes; and Billy Harding (Lab-Cop), 1797 votes.

Crofton Park ward – elected: Tauseef Anwar (Lab), 2457 votes; Chris Barnham (Lab), 2411 votes; and Carol Webley-Brown (Lab), 2147 votes.

Brockley ward – elected: Sian Eiles (Lab), 2478 votes; Ayesha Lahai-Taylor (Lab), 2276 votes; and Stephen Penfold (Lab), 1937 votes.

Blackheath ward – elected: Juliet Campbell (Lab), 2035 votes; Amanda De Ryk (Lab), 1884 votes; and Luke Warner (Lab), 1565 votes.

Grove Park ward– elected: Suzannah Clarke (Lab), 1750 votes; Hilary Moore (Lab), 1502 votes; and Mark Jackson (Lab), 1464 votes.

Deptford ward – elected: Brenda Dacres (Lab-Co-op), 2095 votes; Rosie Parry (Lab-Co-op), 1791 votes; and Stephen Hayes (Lab-Co-op), 1632 votes.

Telegraph Hill ward – elected: Joan Millbank (Lab), 2777 votes; Paul Bell (Lab), 2541 votes; and Luke Sorba (Lab), 2139 votes.

Catford South ward – elected: Natasha Burgess (Lab), 2119 votes; Eva Stamirowski (Lab), 1648 votes; and James Royston (Lab), 1632 votes.

Perry Vale ward – elected: Sakina Sheikh (Lab-Co-op) 2680 votes; Susan Wise (Lab-Co-op), 2605 votes; and John Pashoud (Lab-Co-op), 2596 votes.

Rushey Green ward – elected: Louise Krupski (Lab-Cop), 2421 votes; John Muldoon (Lab-Co-op), 2028 votes; and James-J Walsh (Lab-Cop), 1877 votes.

Hither Green ward – elected: Yemisi Anifowose (Lab), 2537 votes; Kim Powell (Lab), 2230 votes; and Mark Ingleby (Lab), 2125 votes.

Downham ward – elected: André Bourne (Lab), 1679 votes; Carol Howard (Lab), 1621 votes; and Oana Olaru (Lab), 1442 votes.

Lee Green ward – elected: Ese Erheriene, (Lab-Co-op), 1970 votes; Eva Kestner (Lab-Co-op), 1796 votes; and James Rathbone (Lab), 1672 votes

Ladywell ward – elected: Laura Cunningham (Lab), 2151 votes; Liz Johnston-Franklin (Lab), 1950 votes; and Bill Brown (Lab), 1930 votes.

Sydenham ward – elected: Chris Best (Lab-Co-op), 2456 votes; Liam Curran (Lab-Co-op), 2132 votes; and Jack Lavery (Lab-Cop), 2026 votes.
