Drivers may find their journeys disrupted due to the planned closure of several roads in and around Enfield for roadworks, including some lasting several weeks.
Notices from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield and Haringey Independent detail the extent of the closures and other restrictions that may be required until the works are completed.
A five-week closure is due to come into force from Monday in The Spinney N21.
The road is set to be shut from its junction with Church Hill service road fronting Nos. 29 to 55 to a point in line with Nos. 10 and 12 and 15 and 17 The Spinney.
The alternative route will be via Stone Hall Road, Houndsden Road, Wades Hill and into Broadfields Avenue.
Vehicles are set to be prevented from using Primrose Avenue EN2, from its junction with Baker Street to the rear boundary of No. 344 Baker Street, from May 30 for three days.
The alternative route will be via Baker Street, Lancaster Road, Lavender Road and vice versa.
A longer 26-day closure is set to start on the same day in Frederick Crescent EN3 from its junction with Greenmoor Road to the common boundary of Nos. 7 and 9 Frederick Crescent.
The diversion will be via Greenmoor Road, Glenloch Road, Green Street and vice versa.
Another 26-day closure is due to begin the following day in Churchbury Lane EN1, between its junctions with Churchbury Road and Aldersbrook Avenue, from 9.30am and 3.30pm, as and when directed by signs.
Motorists should use Churchbury Lane, Tenniswood Road, Willow Road, Aldersbrook Avenue and vice versa at these times.
Morley Hill EN2 is set to be shut from June 1 for three days between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
The diversion during these times will be via Clay Hill, Baker Street, Lancaster Road, Browning Road and vice versa.
Bounces Road N9 is due to be closed to vehicles from June 14 for three nights from 8pm to 5am.
The alternative route will be via Hertford Road, Nightingale Road, Montagu Road and vice versa.
