THE driver of a Volkswagen from Sidcup has been fined more than £1,000 after speeding at almost 100mph in Bexley.
Richard Lake, of Harland Avenue in Sidcup, admitted to speeding at 95mph on the A20 Bournwood Sand and Gravel in Bexley on September 2, 2021.
The dual carriageway has a 70mph speed limit.

The 37-year-old was ordered to pay £1,042 for the offence during a single justice procedure hearing at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on May 18, 2022.
This includes an £870 fine, £87 to fund victim services, and costs of £85.
He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 10 days.
The speed was recorded with a Pro Laser 4 camera.
The fine for the offence must be paid by June 15, 2022.
