We asked News Shopper readers what they thought were the most annoying things that people do in car parks.
Car parks are stressful enough without someone making them five times worse.
Whether it be the long queues to leave, a lack of spaces or uncomfortably tight corners, car parks can be irritating to deal with all on their own.
But what are the things that make the experience five times more stressful?
Whether it be rule breaking, bad driving or a lack of common courtesy, News Shopper readers were eager to tell us what their biggest pet peeves were when parking up.
1. “Park next to you when there are loads of empty spaces.”
2. “Park in the disabled space and not have a blue badge.”
3. “Not being careful with their doors when exiting their cars.
“Not supervising their children when allowing them to open their own doors.”
4. “Hit other people's cars without a care in the world.”
5. “Keep the engine running while the passenger goes shopping.”
6. “Park over the lines.”
7. “Assume that people don't have a disability because it isn't immediately obvious that they have a disability.”
8. “Speaking as a passenger - reject the space that you’ve spotted, for no obvious reason.”
9. “Sit waiting for you to leave your space.”
10. “Driving the wrong way round the car park when it's clearly a one-way system.”
11. “When boredom takes over and it suddenly dawns on them that this is the perfect place to clear out the car of all the rubbish and dash it on the car park floor.”
12. “Park in parent and child without children.”
13. “Taking their time to load the car with their shopping or whatever before driving off.
“Just hurry up and leave.”
14. “Sit there chit chatting on the phone when someone is waiting for their parking space.”
15. “Speeding.”
