A TikTok has gone viral of a disguised mobile phone with a camera attached to the top of a cash machine in Greenwich.

The video, posted by @rorrksiie on TikTok, is captioned "be careful out there" as it shows a phone stuck to the top of the inside of a cash machine at North Greenwich train station.

It has been viewed more than four million times, and liked more than 130,000 times on the TikTok app.

The footage starts by showing a cash machine with a blue border - and says "guys look what my husband found in Greenwich today! Omg!".

The camera shows the cash machine which says it is "temporarily out of service", before the person filming picks a disguised phone off the top of the machine's border.

The phone is wrapped in a blue plastic-looking material which matches the blue paint around the machine.

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!! 😱😱😱

♬ Oh No - Kreepa

A small hole in the plastic is left for the camera, and then the phone is turned to show it is on the camera app.

The TikTok is filmed to a sound called Oh No, by Kreepa - and repeats "oh no, oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no."

Poster Roxy Ahmed said in the comments that her husband and his friend were at North Greenwich station when the friend needed to take cash out to buy food from a takeaway that only acccepts cash.

She explained that the pair called the machine operator, presumably because it was out of service, and then noticed the phone.

Roxy added: "My husband called 101 and the police came and took the device.

"His friend has blocked his card."

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said this was initially reported to them on June 3, but the machine was on Met Police jurisdiction so it was then transferred to them.

We have asked the Met Police for more information.
