A foodbank is urging the community to donate long-life food to support people forced to use a food bank.
The collection has been organised by Tesco Barkingside, which will top up customers’ food donations between June 30 and July 2 with a financial donation of 20% of the value of the items donated.

Redbridge Foodbank project manager Jocelyn Davis said: “No one in Redbridge should be facing hunger and we want to see an end to local people needing emergency food at all.
“We hope to continue to offer vital support to families and children over the coming months, which will know will be particularly tough for many people in the local area.”
