Motorists may face disruption due to several planned temporary road closures for roadworks across Epping Forest, including two due to last a month.
A notice from Essex County Council in this week’s edition of the Guardian details its intention to close roads in Buckhurst Hill and Harlow among other areas.
All temporary closure orders are valid for up to 18 months and the date when work is carried out is subject to change.
Water main installation works are due to close North End, Buckhurst Hill, from July 25 for 33 days.
The closure is set to apply from High Road to its junction with The Stables, a distance of 70m.
The alternative route is available via High Road and access only to North End.
Another closure scheduled to last 33 days and starting on July 25 is due to be in Stradbroke Grove, Buckhurst Hill.
This is needed for water mains replacement works and is due to apply from the junction with Palmerston Road to its junction with The Meadway, a distance of 200m.
The alternative route will be via Stradbroke Grove, The Meadway, Roebuck Lane, Palmerston Road and vice versa.
A much shorter one-day closure is due to be in place in Weald Hall Lane, North Weald Bassett, on July 26 for cable connection works.
The diversion will be via Weald Hall Lane, High Road, Woodside, Duck Lane and vice versa.
London Road, Stapleford Tawney, is due to be shut from its junction with A113 London Road for a distance of 175m in a north-westerly direction for one day on July 27 for pole installation works.
The diversion will be via London Road, Berwick Lane, School Road, Epping Road, Tawney Common, Tawney Lane and vice versa.
Also from July 27, Parsloe Road, Harlow, is set to be shut from its junction with Burnett Park for a distance of 80m in a north-easterly direction for water connection works.
Drivers should use Parsloe Road, Paringdon Road, Southern Way, Water Lane, Epping Road and vice versa during the closure.
