A man has been charged after an incident outside the Nando's restaurant in Croydon High Street where a male was found with a machete.
A group was spotted outside Nando's in Croydon High Street wearing balaclavas in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police say that when they approached, one male tried to run off and fight officers.
He was detained and found with a machete in a sheath on him.

An 18-year-old man, from Sutton, was arrested in Surrey Street and subsequently charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
He was remanded to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court today.
Violent Crime Tasforce officers tweeted: "#SYNDICATE11 Group spotted outside Nando’s on Croydon high street wearing balaclavas.
"Upon officers approaching one male tried to run off and fight officers.
"Male was detained and found with a machete in a sheath on him @MPSCroydon."
A New Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “An 18 year-old male, from Sutton , was arrested on Wednesday, 6 July, and charged on 6 July 2022 with Possession of an Offensive Weapon.
“The charges follow an arrest made by Violent Crime Taskforce officers on Wednesday, 6 July ,on Surrey Street, Croydon.
“He is was remanded to appear at Croydon Magistrates court on 7 July 2022."
