A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Crayford.  

The incident happened in Thames Road at around 4pm yesterday (July 11).

Police, ambulance crews and London’s air ambulance were called to the scene.

The man was taken to a south London hospital for treatment.  

His condition is not life-threatening.  

No arrests have been made following the incident.  

Police enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 16:00hrs on Monday, 11 July to reports of man stabbed in Thames Road, Crayford.

"Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance all attended.

“A man, believed aged in his 20s, was taken to a south London hospital for treatment – his condition is not life threatening.

“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.

“At this early stage, anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD5090/11Jul.

“You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
