A train fare dodger from Croydon has been ordered to pay nearly £400 over a dodged £8 fare.
Daryl Brown travelled from Longfield to Bromley South on December 13, 2021 - and did not pay his £8 fare.
The 30-year-old intended to avoid payment and the verdict was proved in his absence at Bexley Magistrates' Court on July 20, 2022.
Brown, of Regency Walk in Croydon, was ordered to pay £397 in total for the offence.
This includes a £220 fine, £8 in compensation, a surcharge of £34 to fund victim services and costs of £135.
He must pay this by August 17, 2022.
